IT Specialist 

Job Description 

The IT Specialist provides comprehensive technical support across Tower Mobility, handling hardware and software troubleshooting, account management, system configuration, and service requests for 500+ employees. They will work directly with the Lead IT Specialist and help to cover the full spectrum of day-to-day IT operations. 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access requests across enterprise platforms (Active Directory, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365). 

  • Provide technical support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues across the entire organization. 

  • Configure, deploy, and maintain employee workstations, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals. 

Additional Duties:  

  • Support SaaS platform administration and user management for Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and other enterprise applications. 

  • Troubleshoot VPN, remote access, wireless connectivity, and multi-site network issues. 

  • Document resolutions and contribute to the IT knowledge base for recurring issues and standard procedures.  

  • Monitor basic system alerts and escalate infrastructure issues to the Lead IT Specialist.  

General Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement in learning. 

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms.  

  • Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and basic server administration. 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and showcase the ability to take initiative, value collaboration, and become highly adaptable. 

  • Uphold customer service while showcasing patience for non-technical users. 

  • Must be highly organized with a strong focus on workflow structure. 

  • Be able to quickly learn new applications, software, and dashboards as adopted and used within the company.  

  • Must have an active driver’s license and be approved on the company’s insurance.  

  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance as needed.
