Job Description
The Fleet Automotive Technician supports daily fleet readiness across Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles and Electric Vehicles by performing diagnostics, mechanical and electrical repairs, and detailed documentation to ensure all vehicles remain safe, compliant, and road ready.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform advanced inspections, diagnostics, and mechanical/electrical repairs on electric vehicles, and wheelchair accessible vehicles to maintain fleet safety and uptime.
Diagnose and repair brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems, and electrical components within an authorized scope.
Support TowerWAV systems by inspecting and repairing accessibility components, escalating powered or safety-critical issues as required.
Perform TowerEV service within scope, including thermal systems, 12V electrical, and software resets; escalate high-voltage work per policy.
Additional Duties:
Own complex work orders with detailed diagnostics, repair notes, and photos in the fleet system.
Conduct post-repair quality checks to prevent repeat failures and ensure road ready standards.
Coordinate with Fleet Associates and vendors to resolve issues efficiently.
Escalate high-risk, structural, high-voltage, or manufacturer-restricted repairs promptly.
General Skills & Qualifications:
Advanced experience on automotive repair knowledge.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system-level issues, including wheelchair ramps, restraint systems, and accessibility components.
Ability to perform roadside repairs such as jumpstarts, flat tire replacements, lockouts, and basic field troubleshooting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement in learning.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and showcase the ability to take initiative, value collaboration, and become highly adaptable.
Must be highly organized.
Be able to quickly learn new applications, software, and dashboards as adopted and used within the company.
Must have an active driver’s license and be approved on the company’s insurance.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance as needed.

The hourly wage for this position is $34.00.
