About the Role: The TowerWAV Monitor is responsible for overseeing driver activity to ensure consistent online presence, safety compliance, and operational performance. This role requires active monitoring through the WAV system, communication with drivers by phone, and coordination with internal departments through Microsoft Teams. The Monitor plays a key role in maintaining service quality, supporting safety standards through the Samsara platform and assisting with cross-department needs.

Hourly Rate: $20
Key Responsibilities:
- Driver Monitoring
- Monitor driver activity in the Uber and LYFT dashboard to ensure drivers remain online, active, and compliant with work expectations.
- Identify indicators that may show deviation from duties or inactivity and take appropriate action.
- Communication & Customer Service
- Call drivers as needed for support, performance follow-up, or safety concerns.
- Use Microsoft Teams to communicate with Operations, Safety, Payroll, HR, and other internal departments.
- Provide professional and supportive customer service at all times.
- Safety Oversight
- Utilize the Samsara platform to review safety events, monitor driver behavior, and support safety documentation.
- Report safety concerns promptly to the appropriate departments.
- Coaching & Documentation
- Participate in training to conduct driver coaching when assigned.
- Use the daily log and company-approved communication platforms accurately and professionally.
- Document interactions and incidents according to company standards.
- Cross-Department Support
- Provide operational support to departments such as Safety, Payroll, HR, and others as needed.
- Assist with escalations, follow-ups, or information gathering as requested.
- Performance & Compliance Monitoring
- Track and report driver performance indicators.
- Identify and escalate concerns related to performance, policy compliance, and safety.
General Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong Leadership and team management skills.
- A high school diploma is required.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement in learning.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to unpredictable situations.
- Handle interacting with various team members on a daily basis.
- Experience in transportation, dispatch, customer service, or fleeting monitoring is preferred.
- Familiarity with fleet or driver monitoring systems is a plus. (Samsara)
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Must have an active driver’s license and be approved on the company’s insurance.
- Proficiency in English, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance as needed.
Benefits:
- Medical, dental, and vision benefits are provided through Thatch’s ICHRA, starting on the 1st of the month following 90 days of employment.
- Paid time off is accrued weekly from the first week of work but cannot be used until after completing 90 days of employment. Eligible employees are required to provide ample notice and get HR/Managerial approval prior to using paid vacations.
- $40 personal phone reimbursement eligibility depending on position will be issued monthly.
Communication Channels:
- Email; a towerev, towermobility, or towerwav email will be assigned to you.
- Dialpad; for making outward calls or receiving inward calls based on department.
- Microsoft teams; for internal communication between employees.
Technology:
- Stay updated on technological advancements and utilize company tools and resources effectively.
- Preferred general knowledge on all Microsoft Applications including, but not limited to, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
- General Knowledge of the Uber Application, and its functions.
- General to Proficient knowledge of Paylocity depending on job position.
- Be able to quickly learn new apps, software, and dashboards adopted and used within the company.
- Abide by the company’s cybersecurity policies.
