About the Role:
The Automotive Technician will play a critical role in keeping our fleet running smoothly and safely. This hands-on position involves diagnosing vehicle issues, carrying out repairs, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring all systems meet safety and manufacturer standards. Your expertise will help us maintain the high quality and reliability our customers expect from Tower EV.

Job Title: Automotive Technician
Department: Fleet Maintenance
Reports to: Fleet Manager
Hourly Rate: $22/hour


Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle Diagnostics & Repair
o Examine vehicles to identify issues through testing and diagnostic tools
o Create and implement repair plans based on findings
o Test and adjust vehicle systems to meet manufacturer specifications

Maintenance Services
o Perform routine services like oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
o Ensure all maintenance meets safety and quality standards

Tools & Equipment
o Use diagnostic equipment to accurately pinpoint areas of concern
o Maintain tools and shop equipment in working order

Customer Support
o Communicate with customers regarding vehicle issues and service updates
o Provide expert advice and support to ensure customer satisfaction

Documentation & Inventory
o Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used
o Order and track necessary parts and supplies

Workplace Cleanliness
o Keep the shop and work areas clean, organized, and safe


General Skills & Qualifications:
Automotive Knowledge
o Prior experience as an Auto Tech or Mechanic required
o Strong familiarity with diagnostic tools and vehicle systems

Problem-Solving Abilities
o Excellent troubleshooting skills and mechanical thinking

Communication Skills
o Ability to clearly explain issues and solutions to customers and coworkers

Attention to Detail
o Strong work ethic with focus on quality and safety

Adaptability & Initiative
o Willingness to take on new tasks and learn updated technologies

Education/Experience
o High school diploma or equivalent
o Technical certification or training is a plus


Benefits:

Schedule:
• This is a full-time position with two available 8-hour shifts, scheduled between Monday to Saturday
• Final shift scheduling will be coordinated with management
• Occasional flexibility required depending on shop needs


Additional Duties:
• Follow company policies and safety guidelines
• Maintain professionalism and a team-oriented mindset
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Fleet Manager

• Reliable transportation to and from the workplace is required
• Schedules are subject to change; always check with management
